What we saw in the last two games was phenomenal as the Toronto Raptors, being down by 0-2 in this Eastern Conference Finals, won the previous two games at home to tie the series at 2-2. We are now headed back to Finserv Forum, Milwaukee for Game 5 on Thursday night.
Let’s begin with the score updates from the last match. For Toronto Bucks, Kyle Lowry led the scoring department with 25 points, five rebounds and six assists, Kawhi Leonard scored 19 points with seven rebounds, Marc Gasol had 17 points, five rebounds and seven assists. The bench performance was excellent for the Raptors as three players were in double figures from the bench. Norman Powell had 18 points and five rebounds, Serge Ibaka had 17 points and led the team in rebounds with 13 rebounds, and Fred VanVleet had 13 points with six assists.
From the Bucks, Khris Middleton led the squad with 30 points, six rebounds and seven assists, Giannis had 25 points, ten rebounds and five assists and Nikola Mirotic had 11 points. These were the only players with double-digit points in the game from Bucks side, and also the bench performance was not up to the mark. Nobody scored more than 8 points in the entire team except the above three players which are kind of not expected from the league-leading squad of this season.
Kyle Lowry is finally getting back in rhythm for the Raptors and even led the Raptors in scoring when Kawhi was seen struggling with the ball in the last game. Leonard was seen getting injured early in the Game 3 but still finished with 36 points in that game. He scored 19 points in the previous match but was not at his 100% after the minor injury. The bench, on the other hand, did exceptionally well for the Raptors as the contributed for 48 points in the game. If they want to win the next road game, the same performance is expected and need from Kyle Lowry and the bench players to shed some load off Kawai’s back.
Whereas it was a disappointing night for the supporting cast of the Bucks as they could not find the rhythm in the last road game. Nikola Mirotic, Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and Malcolm Brogdon are some players that were expected to play well to support their lead players, Giannis and Middleton, but they failed to deliver on the road game. They will need to find the ways back into the game if they want to win the next home game. Bucks have been so good at the home games this entire season and will be eyeing to continue to do so.
Predicted Starting Lineup
Raptors: Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam, Marc Gasol, Kyle Lowry and Danny Green
Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Mirotic, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe
Raptors will be very confident entering Game 5 as they won two back-to-back home games and a fabulous performance by the bench. Whereas the Bucks have an excellent home record in terms of winning and performance as well. They will be and are expected to do so.
Bucks to beat the Raptors.
