After an “officiating drama” in the first game, the Rockets and the Warriors will be up for the Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
The game 1 saw the Warriors take an early 9 point lead in the first quarter which they gave up in the second one. However, they managed to pull off the first victory of this series with a margin of four points.
Bad Officiating or not, the result will not be changed, and the Rockets have to climb up another hill at the Oracle tonight leaving behind the deeds of the past.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors will look to capitalise the home court conditions and take a 2-0 lead going ahead in the series.
Kevin Durant has been on fire lately and scored 35 points in the game 1. He will be looking to replicate this performance tonight.
There have been signs of concern with Klay and Steph though. Klay played for 41 minutes in the game and scored just 13 points whereas, Curry played 37 minutes and scored 18 points which are very less from what we can expect from them. These two players will be itching to shoot the ball well tonight.
One lightning factor for Warriors was Draymond Green, and as he has always been. Green finished the game with nine rebounds, nine assists and 14 points.
The Rockets have to stop cursing the officials and focus on the game tonight. They certainly have some areas of concern which they need to address.
The Rockets shot poorly from beyond the three-point line and will be looking to shoot the ball well tonight. James Harden has had the history of poor shooting performances in the playoffs but will be looking to change this notion this time around.
PJ Tucker had 0 points in the game and played for 39 minutes whereas, Clint Capela had just 4 points on the night in 27 minutes of play. We can expect these players to take up offensive guns and contribute more. Also, we can expect Chris Paul to be more aggressive in this one.
Curry has not played the way he can and nor has Thompson. I expect one of them or even both to shoot the ball well tonight.
The Warriors are resolute and no way taking this Rockets’ team lightly. I am in for the Warriors tonight.
