It’s the Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on the Kings XI Punjab on their home ground, Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB has won their last two matches against KKR and CSK and will try to keep up the winning momentum. On the other hand, KXIP lost their previous game to DC by five wickets in a close encounter and will be looking to win this one and get the two points.
The two teams faced each other once in this season, where RCB came out victorious, and it will be entertaining to see these teams face each other again.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Royal Challengers have been in good form lately, winning two in a row. They have to win all their next matches to have a chance of qualifying into the playoffs so will be approaching every game with a do or die attitude.
Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel are scoring well with the bat. With them, Moeen Ali and Akashdeep Nath have been giving full support to the top order by scoring runs in the middle overs.
The inclusion of Dale Steyn has proven to be a huge plus point for the team as he brings in the experience in the bowling department and with his speed and swing in the first initial overs, he can take some quick wickets.
RCB might give a chance to Washington Sundar in this match in place of Pawan Negi as the later has not been able to create an impact so far.
Probable XI for RCB:
Virat Kohl, Parthiv Patel, AB de Villers, Moeen Ali, Akashdeep Nath, Marcus Stoinis, Pawan Negi/Washington Sundar, Umesh Yadav, Dale Steyn, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal.
Kings XI Punjab
They say that the change is the law of nature and this is strictly applicable to the Kings XI team which has not played a single match unchanged so far.
Kings XI’s top order looks solid with both Gayle and Rahul in great touch.
However, they might think of bringing in Sarfaraz back into the XI to strengthen the middle order and considering his track record on this ground.
Mujeeb has not played the last couple of matches, and he might be back as he has performed excellent in this tournament and can also bowl in the powerplays. Also, Shami has been the pick of the bowlers for KXIP and would hope to dominate the RCB batting lineup.
Probable XI for KXIP
KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mayank Aggarwal, Sarfaraz Khan, David Miller, Mandeep Singh, Moises Henriques/Sam Curran, R Ashwin, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh.
Dream XI Predictions
- Wicket-Keepers: KL Rahul
- Batsmen: Chris Gayle, Mandeep Singh, Akashdeep Nath, AB de Villers
- All-rounders: Moeen Ali, Ravichandran Ashwin
- Bowlers: Dale Steyn, Mohammad Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman
Chinnaswamy is not a large ground, and the batsmen love to play here. Seeing the batting powers of both the sides, we can expect a high scoring match tomorrow. A bit of grass is always on the pitch which helps the bowlers with the bounce. Altogether it will be a day for the batsmen to cherish.
