As we come close to the end of IPL 2019, the Rajasthan Royals will be taking on Delhi Capitals in their do or die match to remain in this competition. Both the teams won their previous matches and will be aiming to keep the winning form on.
It’s a must-win game for the Royals to be in the tournament. With Ajinkya Rahane been removed as the captain of the team, it would be exciting to see how Steve Smith leads the team.
The match is at Sawai Mansingh Stadium which has been a high scoring ground and the same is expected for the next match.
Barring the catching of RR, the team led by the new captain in charge looked pumped up. With likes of Parag and Binny coming into the playing XI, the middle order looks complete and steady. Steve Smith played an impressive knock in the last match scoring 59 off 48 balls.
Ben Stokes form is still a concern for the team. He has been consistent neither with the bat nor with the ball. Also, Jos Buttler has flown back home due to family commitments which leave RR chances of qualifying to play-off hanging on a thread.
The bowling department has been good in the last matches played. Jorfer Archer and Shreyas Gopal have been the pick of the bowlers for RR.
Probable XI for RR
Ajinkya Rahane, Steve Smith, Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, Stuart Binny, Ashton Turner/ Liam Livingston, Ben Stokes, Jorfer Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jaydev Unadkat.
Delhi Capitals jumped to the 3rd position on the table after defeating Kings XI in their previous match. The main reason behind Delhi’s performances has been Kagiso Rabada’s disciplined bowling. He has taken 21 wickets so far in the tournament and none of the batsmen have been able to dominate his bowling.
The strokesman for DC have been doing good. Shikhar Dhawan has been consistent at the top of the order with Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer playing their parts in between. Rishabh Pant’s form has been a concern as the youngster has not been able to score much recently.
Probable XI for DC
Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Colin Ingram, Axar Patel,Sherfane Rutherford, Kagiso Rabada, Sandeep Lamichhane, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma.
Dream XI Predictions
- Wicket-Keepers: Sanju Samson
- Batsmen: Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Steve Smith, Riyan Parag, Prithvi Shaw
- All-rounders: Axar Patel
- Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada, Sandeep Lamichhane, Jorfer Archer, Shreyas Gopal
The pitch at Jaipur offers bounce for the seamers which should help Rabada and Archer upfront. It’s a good scoring ground so a 170-180 score is expected from the team batting first.
