The Sunrisers Hyderabad will travel to face the Delhi Capitals at the iconic Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Thursday.
While SRH is full of confidence coming off a massive victory over the RCB, the Capitals floundered in their last match losing to the Kings XI Punjab.
The pitch at Kotla seems to be batting friendly, and we can expect a lot of runs on this surface.
DC with young blood in the team looks like an immature side losing out on close encounters. The previous match against KXIP was a win-win situation, but DC ended up losing 7 wickets for 15 runs in 21 balls.
However, DC can take a lot of positives from the loss. The return of Chris Morris has strengthened both batting and bowling department. The only thing they need to work on is holding their nerves during the pressure situations.
Delhi has so far split their four games played this season so far and will be willing to win this home game against one of the top contenders this year, Sunrisers Hyderabad.
DC probable XI:
Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Colin Ingram, Hanuma Vihari, Harshal Patel, Chris Morris, Sandeep Lamichanne, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan
SRH started their IPL 2019 adventure with a loss, but have gradually gained momentum and won their previous two matches, currently sitting at the 3rd spot on the points table.
In the previous game, the Orange Army outperformed RCB in every department and took away their 2nd consecutive win this season. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow seem to be in Midas touch with the bat while Nabi and Bhuvneshwar are doing wonders with the ball.
There is no reason for SRH to make any changes in current playing XI as it can affect the momentum of the team. The Hyderabad team would like to continue their domination with the current playing XI.
SRH probable XI:
David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Vijay Shankar, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Deepak Hooda, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Siddharth Kaul
Dream XI Predictions:
- Wicket-Keeper: Jonny Bairstow
- Batsmen: David Warner(C), Deepak Hooda, Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw(VC)
- All-Rounders: Mohammad Nabi, Chris Morris
- Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Avesh Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Sandeep Lamichanne
The match at Kotla is expected to be a run-fest where the best batting line-ups will lock horns against each other.
SRH scored 231 runs in their last game, and both Jonny Bairstow and David Warner registered their respective IPL 100s.
The SRH has the momentum and the confidence tonight to edge over the Delhi Capitals’ side.
