The Milwaukee Bucks pay a visit to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night for the second game of this road trip.
The Bucks lost to the Hawks by 135-134 in overtime yesterday. Sterling Brown led the Bucks squad with 27 points and nine rebounds. He was well supported by Tim Frazier and Brook Lopez who scored 20 and 19 points respectively. Also, Bonzie Colson scored 15 points along with game-high 16 rebounds.
Nets are coming off a win against the Boston Celtics yesterday, winning the game by 110-96. D’Angelo Russell is in great form this year and did the same in yesterday’s game, scoring 29 points and ten assists. Joe Harris and DeMarre Carroll each scored 13 points along with Caris LeVert who scored 15 points off the bench.
Bucks were on a 4-game winning streak until their last match against the Atlanta Hawks where they had to face a loss in a very close OT game. Overall, they have won 16 of their last 22 games. Giannis suffered an ankle injury in the game against the Clippers on Friday and was ruled out of the game against the Hawks, and I think that Bucks will continue to give him rest for this and coming games too. Khris Middleton was also out in the last game due to left groin soreness and is questionable against the Nets. Even Eric Bledsoe was also given rest in the previous game against the Hawks.
I hope Bucks recover from all the injuries before the playoffs begin and show the same level of gameplay we have seen from them all over the regular season
Nets are in good form and have split their last ten games after winning over the Celtics. D’Angelo Russell is amid a fantastic season and is averaging nearly 21 points and seven assists per game this season. He has been shooting 43.2% in Field Goals and 36% from beyond the arc.
Jarrett Allen is performing well according to his role of big man and averages 11 ppg and 8.3 rpg. Also, Joe Harris and Caris Levert from the bench support the team well.
Allen Crabbe is ruled out of the Monday’s game against the Bucks due to a knee injury. By winning the last game against the Celtics, Nets have won all of the previous four home games and will be eyeing to win 5th straight.
Predicted Starting Lineups:
Nets: DeMarre Carroll, Rodion Kurucs, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris, D’Angelo Russell
Bucks: Bonzie Colson, D. J. Wills, Brook Lopez, Eric Bledsoe, Sterling Brown
It was a shock when the Bucks coach took the game-time decision to rest pretty much their entire starting five and if they continue this trend in tonight’s game too then, the nets will have a clear shot at their home court. Also, this is a much required win for the Brooklyn Nets here to clinch a playoffs position. If the Bucks do not have their best players on the floor tonight, then the healthy and up-tempo Nets team can take the advantage and steal a win here.
