The Kings XI Punjab will be hosting the Delhi Capitals at Mohali for the Northern Derby. Both the teams won their last matches, Punjab defeated Mumbai and Delhi defeated Kolkata in a super over. Both sides will be willing to maintain their winning run as the tournament progresses.
KL Rahul scored a 50 in the previous match which undoubtedly must have boosted his confidence. Also, Mayank Aggarwal is performing exceptionally well for the team.
Kings XI must have taken a lot of positives from their previous match, but still, Delhi Capitals might have the upper hand over them in the next game.
Let’s have a look at the reasons why Delhi Capitals might win tomorrow.
#1 Delhi’s Bowling Line-up
Delhi has one of the best bowling lineups in this years’ IPL. Their pace attack is lead by Kagiso Rabada who showed how good he could be with the bowl in the last match, especially in the super over. And with Chris Morris coming back into the squad, surely adds up to the bowling unit.
DC also has a good pack of Indian bowlers like the experienced Amit Mishra and with him, Harsha Patel. Sandeep Lamicchane was good with the bowl in the last match and can surely be someone to look out for in the next game.
This bowling attack might be difficult to handle for the KKR’s Batting lineup.
#2 No sixth Bowler for KXIP
Kings XI is facing this concern since the start of the tournament. They have not been able to accommodate a sixth bowler in the playing 11 who can bowl a few overs in the middle of the innings. This restricts the team only to have five bowlers which expose their bowling.
They might have to play an extra bowler, but that means they’ll have to rest one of their middle order batsmen.
#3 Top Order for DC
Delhi Capitals is a side of young players led by a young captain, Shreyas Iyer. They have Shikhar Dhawan at the top with the youngster Prithvi Shaw who showed how well he could bat. With the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant, Delhi has one hell of a batting lineup.
Each of these players has been among the run-getters since the start of this season, and for Kings XI it would be a tough task to limit them to a low score seeing their batting lineup.
