It’s the Denver Nuggets taking on the Houston Rockets in Toyota Center on Thursday night.
Rockets are coming off a tough road loss against the Bucks yesterday. Bucks beat the Rockets by 108-94. James Harden scored 23 points, ten rebounds and seven assists supported by Chris Paul who scored 19 points with nine rebounds and Clint Capela who scored 17 points and 11 rebounds. Danuel House also added 15 points from the bench.
Nuggets are coming off a home win yesterday where they beat the Detroit Pistons in a close game by 95-92. Jokic scored 23 points and 15 rebounds, Jamal Murray scored 33 points, Will Barton scored 10 points, and Paul Millsap scored 10 points with 13 rebounds.
Rockets fell to the fourth position in the western conference after they lost to the top seed in the west, Milwaukee Bucks last light. But they are performing well as they have won 14 of their last 17 games and will be eyeing to get a win here to get back to the 3rd seed in their division.
James Harden has been performing well, and we hope that continues to do so. He is currently leading the league in ppg with 36 ppg and also he leads in overall points in the season with 2568 points. He is well supported by Chris Paul who is in good form averaging 15.6 ppg and 8.2 apg and Clint Capela who is doing a great job in paint grabbing rebounds averaging 12.5 rpg and 16.5 ppg.
Although Rockets have a few injuries in the team in the form of Gerald Green who is out for 7-10 days, Kenneth Faried is out for the game against the Nuggets due to a knee injury. Eric Gordon is probable against the Nuggets due to a Knee injury.
Nuggets are on fire lately as they have won 8 out of their last ten games and will have to perform even better if they want to beat the Warriors for the top seed in the west.
Nikola Jokic is performing well-averaging 20.3ppg, 10.8 rpg and 7.5 apg. He is well supported by Jamal Murray who is averaging 18.2 ppg. Even though they do not have any star player in their roster, they are performing well as a team, and they are doing so by making good plays and sharing the ball.
Predicted Starting Lineups:
Rockets: James Harden, Chris Paul, Danuel House, P. J. Tucker, Clint Capela
Nuggets: Paul Millsap, Will Barton, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Gary Harris
It’s a tough call for who will win this game as both the teams are in good shape lately and can give a back and forth battle to each other. They have met 3-times this season and Rockets have two out the three games. Keeping in mind that the wins were double-digit and Denver being average on the road all season, I will give this one to the Rockets.
Rockets to beat the Nuggets.
