The Sunrisers Hyderabad will host the Rajasthan Royals in the 8th encounter of the Vivo IPL 2019 on March 29 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. This game will be the 10th encounter between the two teams with SRH leading with five wins out of 9 games head to head.
Both SRH and RR begin their campaign with a loss in the opening matches. While SRH was handed over a defeat by the KKR, where Andre Russell single-handedly took the game away from SRH’s hands in the last over thriller. The Rajasthan Royals also disappointed the home crowd after losing to the Kings XI Punjab, failing to chase a mammoth 184 runs target.
The flat surface at Hyderabad is a big advantage for the Batsmen. No interruption from rain is expected during the game. It will be a high scoring match with expected first innings score of 170-180 runs.
While SRH lost their 1st match, there were some positives that they can take ahead with them.
It is unlikely that SRH would make any changes in their line-up from the previous match. Their selection was spot on, and there were not too many things that SRH did wrong in the last game.
SRH probable XI:
David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Vijay Shankar, Yusuf Pathan, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Shakib Al Hassan, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul
The Royals faced the Gayle storm in their first game. They were handed over 184 runs to chase at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The chase started at the perfect note with RR putting 109/1 at one stage, but the game turned drastically for RR when R Ashwin controversially dismissed inform Jos Buttler.
Rajasthan will be willing to take the same team ahead tonight.
RR playing XI:
Ajinkya Rahane, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, Rahul Tripathi, Krishnappa Gowtham, Jofra Archer, Jaydev Unadkat, Shreyas Gopal, Dhawal Kulkarni.
Dream XI Predictions:
- Wicket Keeper: Jos Buttler
- Batsmen: David Warner, Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Ajinkya Rahane
- All-Rounders: Ben Stokes
- Bowlers: Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal
Looking at the Surface of the pitch and current line-up of both teams, SRH has the edge over RR as Hyderabad’s batting line-up is strengthened with the return of David Warner. RR is an excellent side, but SRH seems to be more balanced this time.
