Its Rockets taking on the top seed in the east, Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday at Finserv Forum, Milwaukee.
Rockets are coming off a blowout road win against the Pelicans yesterday which they won with a scoreline of 113-90. James Harden led the pack with 28 points alongside Eric Gordon who added 18 from his side. Also, Chris Paul scored 10 points, 13 assists, and five steals on the night. Furthermore, Clint Capela did the big-man-work grabbing 17 rebounds and finishing with 8 points on the night.
Bucks are also coming off a win against the Cavaliers winning the game by 127-105 on Sunday. Giannis scored 26 points along with 10 rebounds and 7 assists, supported well by Khris Middleton and George Hill who scored 17 points apiece. Overall 7 players scored double digit points in the game proving the depth in the lineup.
The Rockets are on fire as they have won 13 of their last 15 games and will be eyeing for a third straight win after having defeated Pelicans on the road. James harden have been giving monstrous performances with back to back 50+ point performances in the last two games before they met Pelicans. He is well supported by Chris Paul who is in good form averaging 15.6 ppg and 8.2 apg and Clint Capela who is doing a great job in the paint grabbing rebounds, averaging 12.6 rpg and 15.6 ppg.
Rockets are suffering from a couple of injuries on this road trip in the form of Eric Gordon who is questionable against the Bucks due to sprained right ankle, and Gerald Green who is out for the game against the Bucks due to sprained left adductor.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are flowing well till now as they have won 7 of their last 10 games. They will be looking for a third straight win after beating the lowly Cavaliers yesterday. Antetokounmpo is one of the top contenders in the MVP race along with James Harden and both will be eager to show who is the boss in tonight’s game. Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe are also performing well with 17.8 ppg and 15.7 ppg respectively.
Bucks too are suffering from injuries lately and it may be difficult for them to grab a win here. Tony snell has been ruled out of the game due to sprained left ankle. Pau Gasol is expected to be out for a month due to left ankle injury, while Nikola Mirotic has suffered an left thumb fracture and will be out for two to four weeks. With them, Malcolm Brogdon is already out for the season.
Predicted Starting Lineups:
Rockets: James Harden, Chris Paul, Eric Gordon, P. J. Tucker and Clint Capela.
Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez and George Hill.
Seeing that the Bucks have the best home record this season tied with the Nuggets with a total of 30 wins and just 6 losses, it will be an uphill task for the Rockets to beat them on their home ground. Even though James harden is leading the league in points scored and points scored per game, Giannis and the Bucks are no less, and Rockets can’t take them lightly. I think it will be a close match but Bucks will take it in the end.
Bucks to beat the Rockets.
