IPL 2019 Predictions: Match 6, KKR vs KXIP, Match Preview and Probable XI

The Match 6 of IPL 2019 will be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata where host the KKR will take on the visitors KXIP.

Both the teams have won their opening matches. The Knight Riders are chased a mammoth 183 against the SRH, Punjab meanwhile, beat the Rajasthan Royals by 14 runs to register their first win of this season

The surface at Eden Garden tends to favour the batsmen as seen in the opening match. Expect another high-scoring fixture tonight.

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR won the opening match after Andre Russell, and Shubham Gill played some impressive innings at the death. However, KKR suffered a blow in the name of Sunil Narine, who got his shoulder injured. Narine will miss the fixture tonight.

English Batsmen Joe Denly is expected to open for KKR, filling in for Narine. Rest of the team line-up should be the same.

KKR probable XI:

Chris Lynn, Joe Denly, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Shubham Gill, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishan, Lockie Ferguson.

Kings XI Punjab

The openers for KXIP saw some entertaining shots from the King of T20, Chris Gayle. Gayle destroyed RR’s bowling unit and finished with 79 of 47 on the night.

According to the latest reports, David Miller will be joining the camp for the KXIP and might replace Nicolas Pooran in the middle order. Miller is in tremendous form lately, and it will be a tough call for management to not include him in playing XI.

Rest of the squad is expected to be the same.

KXIP probable XI:

Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Mayank Agarwal, David Miller, Sam Curran, Mandeep Singh, R Ashwin, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammed Shami, Ankit Rajpoot.

Dream XI Predictions:

  • Wicket Keeper: Dinesh Karthik
  • Batsmen: Chris Gayle(C), Chris Lynn(VC), David Miller, Sarfraz Khan
  • All Rounders: Andre Russell, R Ashwin
  • Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Lockie Ferguson, Ankit Rajpoot

 Match Predictions:

Both the teams have some excellent bowlers and a strong batting line-up, but KKR seems strong overall. KKR also has the advantage of the home crowd tonight, so I am rooting in for the Knight Riders.
