Detroit Pistons takes on the Warriors at the Oracle Arena on Sunday night.
The Dubs suffered the worst home loss since ‘07 and the Steve Kerr era when they were matched up against the Mavericks while Curry, Livingston and Bogut were given rest. Mavericks beat the Warriors by 126-91 at the Oracle. Kevin Durant scored 25 points, and Demarcus Cousins scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Pistons are one of the most improved teams of this season. They are coming off a loss against the Trail Blazers by 117-112 on the road. Blake Griffin scored 27 points supported well by Andre Drummond who scored 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Golden State Warriors
After a blowout loss against the Mavericks, the Warriors have to win this game if they want to regain the top seed again. Curry, Livingston and Andrew Bogut were given rest in the last match and may still be rested for this matchup.
Warriors will pay their star players for limited minutes as they did in the last game and this will give a direct advantage to the Pistons to upset the comparatively weak Warriors bench.
Pistons have levelled their wins and losses in their last eight games and could use a win here to book a spot in the Playoffs. With just ten games remaining in the regular season, there is a fierce competition in the Eastern Conference for the last three places for the playoffs.
Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond are in good shape right now. Drummond leads the whole league in Offensive as well as Defensive rebounds. With that, they are supported well by their guards Reggie Jackson and Wayne Ellington, who are shooting well from beyond the arc.
Predicted Starting Lineups:
Warriors: Quinn Cook, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, DeMarcus Cousins
Pistons: Reggie Jackson, Wayne Ellington, Bruce Brown, Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond
If the Warriors continue to give rest to Curry and limit their other stars in the minutes played in the game, it will be a very tough task for them to beat the Pistons. But still seeing that Durant, Green, Klay and Cousins will be playing, I will give this one the Warriors.
Warriors to beat the Pistons.
