The 2nd match will kick off at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata where the Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday 24th March 2019.
KKR finished third in the previous edition of IPL and were kicked out of the tournament in the 2nd qualifier by none other than SRH. So, KKR will be willing to avenge the defeat today.
SRH too played well and topped the chart in league matches but lost to the mighty CSK in the final of the 2018 edition after an unexpected century from Shane Watson. SRH has been consistent in the previous years and will be tough contenders for any team.
The pitch at Eden Gardens is considered to be a batting surface with spinners taking charge in the latter half of the match. The score in the first innings is expected to be around 170-190.

KKR have bet a hefty amount on the youngsters and tried to fill in the gaps from previous editions. The star performers of the prior season, Chris Lynn, Dinesh Kartik, Robin Uthappa, and Sunil Narine, form the core of the team while Nitish Rana and Shubham Gill will try to showcase their talent yet again.
With Narine and Chris Lynn opening for the team, the batting line up is backed up in the middle by the likes of Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Shubham Gill, and Dinesh Karthik. If top continues to improve throughout the season, there is no looking back for KKR this season.
The Bowling department is pretty decent too. With some new faces in the pace attack, the team is supported by quality spinners like Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav, and Piyush Chawla.

Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Nitish Rana, Robin Uthappa, Shubham Gill, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Lockie Ferguson, Shivam Mavi
The return of David Warner to quality cricket will be a happening moment for the cricketing world. Having played different leagues around the world during the ban of 1 year, Warner will be aiming to get into the Australian squad for 2019 World Cup.
Shikhar Dhawan has been traded off to Delhi Capitals which leaves a hole in the batting lineup. However, Martin Guptill and other notable foreign players will try to make into playing XI and fill the void. David Warner, Kane Williamson, Wriddhiman Saha, Shakib al Hassan, and Manish Pandey can destroy most of the bowlers in the league and forms teh backbone of the batting lineup.
SRH can boast off its bowling department. They have Rashid Khan, the current best T20 Bowler backed by Shakib al Hassan, Bhuwaneshwar Kumar, and other Indian pacers. It can be indeed said that the fortune of SRH is built around the performance of its Bowling unit.
