The Warriors take on the Rockets for a Wednesday night clash.
It was a beast versus the least kind of a match between the Warriors and the Suns on Sunday, but it turned out to be a heartbreaking loss for the Warriors who also lost their star player, Kevin Durant. Durant got his ankle twisted and left the game and is expected to miss tonight’s clash too.
The Suns beat the Warriors at the Oracle by 115-111. Durant had 25 points before he got injured and Klay contributed 28 points. Also, Stephen Curry had 18 points along with Draymond Green grabbing 11 rebounds for the Warriors.
On the other hand, the Rockets won their last game against the Hornets by 118-106. James Harden had 28 points along with Eric Gordon contributing 22 from his side. Also, Clint Capela had 19 points and 15 rebounds coupled with Chris Paul who had 10 points and ten rebounds.
Golden State Warriors
Warriors are going through times as they have won only 4 out of their last ten games. They lost a home match on Sunday against the last ranked team in their conference, and now they have to face the Rockets on the road with Kevin Durant out for the game due to an ankle injury. It will be a very tough and an uphill task for the Warriors to secure a win against the Rockets who are playing some of their best basketball of the season.
Meanwhile, the Rockets have been in a spectacular form winning 9 of their last ten games and will look forward to maintaining their winning streak against the Warriors. They have won all the three games against the Warriors this season and will be eyeing for a clean sweep.
James Harden leads the league in points with 36.2ppg this season along with 7.5 apg. With Clint Capela back in the lineup and also Chris Paul in an impressive form, the Rockets are fully loaded against the Warriors
Predicted Starting Lineups:
Warriors: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins
Rockets: James Harden, Chris Paul, Eric Gordon, P. J. Tucker and Clint Capela
We have seen Rockets getting the better of the Warriors every time this season and will be eyeing to continue to do so for the 4th and the last time in this regular season.
Warriors are missing the services of Kevin Durant, and it will be very tough for them to beat the Rockets who are on a hot winning streak of 9 games.
Considering all the factors discussed above, and also that Rockets have a home court advantage, I think Rockets will be able to beat the Warriors on Wednesday night.
