The Portland Trail Blazers will host the Oklahoma City Thunder for a Thursday night Clash at the Moda Center.
The Blazers are coming off a road loss against the Memphis Grizzlies, whereas the Thunder lost to the Wolves on Tuesday.
Let us dive deep into how things stand for them ahead of the clash.
Portland Trail Blazers
The Blazers are sitting at fifth place in the West, not far away from the third. They have been impressive lately with just two losses in their last eight games.
The game against Memphis saw CJ McCollum go off for 27 points, supported by Damian Lillard who contributed 24 from his side. As a team, the Blazers shot 53 % from the field and knocked down nine three-pointers. But all this was not enough as the Blazers fell short by nine points.
The Blazers face the Thunder tonight and will be looking to beat them and climb up to the third spot in the West.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder are in a slump right now with a few losses in a stretch.
They lost to the Wolves in their last game. The team was led by Russel Westbrook who scored 38 points, dished six assists and grabbed 13 rebounds. Paul George supported him with 25 points from his side while Dennis Schroder scored 14 points off the bench. However, they lost the game after Towns went off for massive 41 points.
The Thunder will be willing to make a comeback by beating the Blazers tonight and climb up to the third spot in the West.
Predicted Starting Lineups:
Blazers: Maurice Harkless, Al-Farouq Aminu, Jusuf Nurkic, Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.
Thunder: Paul George, Jerami Grant, Steven Adams, Russell Westbrook and Terrance Ferguson.
The Blazers are deadly at home, and both the guards will be up for the task. However, the Thunder defence is excellent and will make life tough for CJ and Dame.
I expect the Thunder to bounce back tonight.
