The Celtics take on to the Warriors tonight at their home court.
Warriors ended their four-game road trip having won the last game against the Philadelphia 76ers. It was an intense back, and forth fight between the two teams and the Dubs secured a win by 120-117.
Celtics had to face a tough loss against the Houston Rockets. James Harden’s 42 point performance led the Rockets for a victory at the opposing team’s home court. Celtics lost by 104-115.
Golden State Warriors
Warriors were on a four-game road trip which ended with a win against the 76ers. They are going through a little rough patch having won 6 out of last ten games. But the home record for Warriors is good, and they have won 8 of their last ten home games with an overall record of 23-8 at home. So this could be a decisive factor for tomorrow’s match against the Celtics. They are currently the leaders in the east with a season record of 44-19.
But Warriors are also dealing with a few injuries on their roster. Andre Iguodala (lower back tightness) and Klay Thompson (knee soreness) are questionable. Kevon Looney (right pelvic pain) is out for tomorrow’s game. Alfonzo McKinnie (left hip contusion) is probable.
Celtics are going through tough times winning only 1 of their last six games and 3 of their last ten games. On their previous road trip, they went 0-3 losing all of the games. This one is a four-game California road trip, and they will be targeting for a few back to back wins in this one.
Celtics are second in opposing team’s field goal percentage(44.5 %) and 4th place in opponent’s 3-point percentage(34.1%). So they will be using their defence for stopping the dubs which are one of the hottest offensive teams in the league.
Predicted Starting Lineups:
Warriors: Stephen Curry, Alfonzo McKinnie, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins
Celtics: Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris and Al Horford
Celtics will be eyeing for a win here against the Warriors who may have to struggle because of injuries. With Klay and Iguodala questionable and Looney out for the game helps them further.
But as mentioned, Dubs have a home court advantage and they will be looking for an easy win against the underdogs Celtics.
Warriors will beat the Celtics.
