Utah Jazz has been giving a tough time to the Warriors this season. These teams matched up two times this year, and the record is even for now. Warriors won the first match with the help of Jonas Jerebko’s(former Jazz) game-winning shot. However, the second time Jazz did not give any chances to the Warriors and won the game by 5 points.

Few Facts and Statistics:

  • Warriors Last 10: W-L 9-1
  • Jazz Last 10: W-L 7-3
  • Last Matchup on 20/12/2018: Warriors 103 – Jazz 108

It will be an exhilarating battle to watch out for, as both the teams are eager to prove themselves at the Warriors home court, Oracle Arena.

Golden State Warriors:

Golden State Warriors are on heat check with 15 wins in the last 16 games. They have a starting line-up of 5 All-Stars, and all of them are in fabulous shape.

Curry is averaging 28.6 points per game and is supported well by his counterparts Klay Thomson (22.1 ppg), and Kevin Durant (27.5 ppg). Also, Cousins has started to fire as he is getting more and more playing time. He hit the game-winning free throws is the last game against the Miami Heat to steal the victory.

Now coming to the injury report— Andre Iguodala(Left Hamstring Tightness) is questionable and, Jacob Evans and Damian Jones are out.

Utah Jazz:

The Jazz have been on a run as they have won 12 of their last 15 games. With fly-high Donovan Mitchell, Ricky Rubio, and Joe Ingles in the starting line-up, they have Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors to guard their paint.

Mitchell is averaging 22.4 ppg and shows no sign of slowing down. He will be a key player tonight.

They are currently 6th in the West and will be willing to improve their record tonight by beating the strong Warriors side.

Utah currently ranks third in opponent’s points per game (105.8 points), and fourth in defensive rating, so Golden State will need to make each possession count.

Now coming to the injury report— Tony Bradley and Dante Exum are out.

Prediction Time:

Jazz beat the Warriors last time, but things are way too different this time. They battle it out on Warriors home ground with Cousins in the starting line-up. Two of the hottest teams right now battle for a season series as the Jazz take on the Warriors for the third and final time this regular season.

I think this is going to a tough match-up, but with Warriors having added Cousins and playing at home, gives them an advantage over the Jazz tonight.
