The Thunder and Rockets meet again after the Christmas day matchup. The Rockets snapped a win on that day, but the Thunder will be looking to take revenge tonight.
Oklahoma City Thunder:
The Thunder have been in a sensational form as they have won 9 of their last ten games. With Paul George leading the team in scoring in nine of those matches, Westbrook has finally taken a leap to be a playmaker first and a shooter second. This seems to be working with him as he is on an eight-game triple-double streak.
Steven Adams, Jerami Grant and Dennis Schröder all are contributing well, with double-digit scores in the past few games.
On the other hand, Rockets have added Iman Shumpert to the squad and he will debut as a Rocket in tomorrow’s game. But with Capela Out (Thumb Injury) till the All-Star Game, it’ll be an uphill task for the Rockets for getting the boards. OKC already stands second in grabbing offensive rebounds (thanks to the Kiwi) and sixth overall.
Harden is in the best form as he ever will be with 31 straight games with 30+ points including four 50+ point performances. Also, Eric Gordon is performing well along with Gerald Green who is scoring well from the bench.
Few Facts and Statistics:
Rockets Last 10: W-L 7-3
Thunder Last 10: W-L 9-1
Last Matchup on 25/12/2018: Rockets 113 – Thunder 109
The Rockets beat Thunder last time, but things have changed since then. The OKC have been doing well at home as well as on the road. They have been like a complete team whereas, the Rockets are highly reliable on Harden.
With Clint Capela out and Paul still, not 100%, the Rockets will have a tough time against the Thunders tonight. This will be a close battle, but I think with a slight advantage, Thunder will be able to out-score the Rockets to win this road game.
