Houston Rockets Trade Rumors: 3 buyout players they can target

Adding Shumpert to the lineup might not solve their problems. Instead, Rockets can explore the Buyout market and find their missing pieces. Below are the three players they can target.

When we take a look at the Rockets’ roster, we see only three players- James Harden, Clint Capela and Chris Paul. Besides these three, there is Eric Gordon who can shoot the three ball but is not consistent. Also, Capela and Paul have been dealing with injuries, adding to the misery.

The Houston Rockets are 32-22 for the season and currently sit at the fifth place in the Eastern Conference. They have been single-handedly carried on his shoulders by James Harden. He has been averaging some crazy numbers and is undoubtedly a strong candidate for the MVP this season.

However, the Rockets’ team is not a title contender. And if you don’t agree with me, ask Kobe Bryant. In his latest comment on Harden and the Rockers, Kobe said that Harden needs a few pieces on his side to compete for the title.

Adding Shumpert to the lineup might not solve their problems. Instead, Rockets can explore the Buyout market and find their missing pieces. Below are the three players they can target.

1) JR Smith

A sharpshooter, JR Smith is the best fit for the Rockets. He can boost the offence with Eric Gordon struggling to find his rhythm.

He has no plans to play for the Cavaliers, and there is no role better for him than in this Rockets’ Offensive system.

2) Michael Beasley

Michael Beasley has been waived off by the LA Clippers whom they received in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has produced minimal impact this season because of some personal issues, missing some games, as well as he has struggled to get playing time in LA.

He will get an ample amount of playing time in Houston and can add an offensive boost to the team. He can be one of the option to consider for the Rockets.

3) Enes Kanter

Kanter has been waived by the New York Knicks and is a free agent now. He can be an option for the Houston Rockets to consider.

With Clint Capela facing injury issues, Kanter can be used as the other reliable big man. He was averaging 14 points, grabbing 10.5 rebounds, and dishing out 1.9 assists per game with the Knicks. These numbers prove his potential.

He can be the addition for the Rockets that could turn them into immediate contenders.
