This is a much-needed win for the Lakers as they have dropped to the 10th place in the West. The LA Lakers are coming off a loss against the Warriors, whereas Pacers won their last game vs the Pelicans.
Let’s start with an update on LeBron James. James joined the rest of the team for practice but will probably be rested for this game.
There are a few other injuries in the team as well. Josh Hart is questionable with a left knee patellar tendinitis, and so is Kuzma who is struggling with the left hip strain. Adding to the list, Zubac too has an injured finger.
A lot would depend on Rondo and Stephenson who are back in action. With Brendon Ingram in good shape along with Caldwell-Pope and McGee, Lakers will be looking to upset the high ranked Pacers tonight.
Oladipo just went through a successful knee surgery last Monday and will be out. Also, McDermott is out for the next two games due to a ribs injury.
Despite a tight schedule and injury scares, rest of the squad seems to be in good form. Collinson has been performing well and dropped 22 against the Pelicans in the last game. He will be looking to continue the form in today’s game as well.
Four of the starters had points in double-figures, and the beach also looked solid with players like Sabonis performing exceptionally well. Pacers are an excellent team and have a definite edge tonight.
- Lakers Last 10: W-L 4-6
- Pacers Last 10: W-L 5-5
- Last Matchup on 30/11/2018: Lakers 104 – Pacers 96
So with two straight road wins and five players with double figures, Pacers will be looking to continue the winning momentum.
However, Lakers need a few wins here if they want to get back into playoff contention. They will be aggressive from the start, but are they mature enough to cross the line if Lebron does not play tonight? And What if Lebron plays tonight?
The Lakers have a ton of question marks lingering around them, and Pacers are a more settled side and an easy choice to make tonight. I would give this one to the Pacers.
“Indiana Pacers to beat the Los Angeles Lakers.”
