Anthony Davis Trade Rumours: The Lakers have pulled out of the trade talks for Anthony Davis

the Lakers president of basketball operations, Magic Johnson, told the Pelicans that they had given them the best offer they could and are not willing to add anything else to the list.

The New Orlean Pelicans were in a position where they could ask literally for anything from the Lakers. The Lakers offered almost all their young core, Rojan Rondo, Michael Beasley and two draft picks to the Pelicans.

However, the Pelicans came up with one more outrageous demand for more draft picks from the Lakers. The Lakers have finally given up on Anthony Davis for this month’s trade line as it was too much to ask for.

According to a report by LA Times, the Lakers president of basketball operations, Magic Johnson, told the Pelicans that they had given them the best offer they could and are not willing to add anything else to the list.

The Lakers fought hard to get Davis land up at LA and threw almost everything at the Pelicans. However, the Pelicans have the upper hand here, and they won’t mind postponing the trade to the end of the season where they can get more offers from the other teams too. They added something every time to every proposal that the Lakers had presented them with.

According to the sources:

“They wanted more and more and more. There was no more to give. They had cap-relief with Hill being in the deal. But the more they wanted the more it because outrageous and unrealistic.”

Lebron James, who missed the game against the Warriors was asked about his views on the Anthony Davis Scenario, and Below is what he had to say:

“I kind of tend not to play much fantasy basketball, that’s how I’ve always been. If something were to occur with our team, whether it’s him or it’s somebody else throughout the trade deadline, we’ll approach it then. But right now this is the group that we have and we’re missing a key point of our team right now with Zo (Ball) being out so we have to win ballgames.”

The Lakers play the Pacers tonight and have dropped to the 10th place in the West. They need few wins now to get something going this season.
