The Lakers are ready for action tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Staples Center. They are coming off a win against the Phoenix Suns and will be looking to upset the relatively strong 76ers side.
Let’s start with an update on Kings James:
Lebron joined the team for a full session of practice yesterday but the coach, Luke Walton believes he still needs time.
Below is what Walton said:
“He’s not driving the lane and tomahawk dunking on people right now, but he’s moving well,” Walton said after practice. “He’s getting to the paint and shooting jumpers and all those types of things.”
So we can be sure about his absence from tonight’s game.
Rest of the squad:
Both Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart are questionable for tonight due to injuries. But Walton is hopeful that they will play tonight.
If these two do not play tonight, the rest of the team will be up for an uphill task against a strong 76ers side. All will depend on Rondo, Ingram and Zubac then.
Now, about 76ers:
The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a disappointing loss against the Nuggets who snapped their winning streak. However, If we look at the closer picture, they have won five games out of their last seven.
With Jimmy Butler expected to be back in the lineup, the 76ers are expected to even better. Also, JJ Reddick has been shooting well from beyond the arc and will be willing to continue the excellent work.
The Sixers are playing good basketball on the road with only three losses in the last eight games. I expect them to be excellent even tonight. With Lebron on the sidelines and Hart and Kuzma questionable, I believe the 76ers will snap an easy win tonight.
The Philadelphia 76ers will beat the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.
